I purchased this pack the Lite50 for my son so he can carry enough for multi day experiences. We just returned from hiking the Escalante Route in the Grand Canyon, 4 days 35 miles (many off trail) and thousands of feet of vert. He said he loved the pack, carried well and cant wait until the next adventure.
Thank Waymark Gear!

Had the pack already on a 3 day trip. It's extremely light and packs down well. The best part is the comfort. Took me about 2 minutes to get it adjusted but was one of the best fitting packs I've ever had. After about 15 miles I didn't even notice any pain from the pack. I highly recommend.

It’s full on winter here. I’ve only tried it on with random stuff in it. I’m am impressed with how it feels and the construction. Seems like a good pack. Especially for the weight.

I have only had my Lite 50 for three weeks now and have only taken it on day hikes loaded up with different weights, it carries quit well can’t wait to take it out for real. The craftsmanship and design of this pack is out standing. I own another ultra light pack that I am comparing with witch is only 3oz lighter then my new Lite 50. Sometimes beefier built carries better less sag and only 3oz heavier I’ll take one less snicker bar. I will be adding to my review once I get it out on the trail for real.

The backpack feels weightless on. I recommend it.

This pack fits better then any pack I’ve ever used since I started backpacking in the late 90s. It’s construction and quality are expert level. The seams are perfect and I’m so excited to try it on the trail.

My back never hurt during my hike it felt amazing! Thank you!

I chose this pack after a lot of research, and I am very happy I did!
As my first lightweight pack, I was concerned how it would carry the weight. I am not an ultralight backpacker, and usually carry in the 30-35lb range with dogs in tow. This pack handles this no problem and is very comfortable on long mileage days. The only modification I did was small drain holes in the bottoms of the external pockets. A hot nail worked great for this. They will collect water, especially in a downpour. Now I am ordering the new ember, to have more room for mountaineering stuff. I am that impressed. Nice job Waymark!

Awesome backpack. Fits like a glove, highly recommend going with waymark. Support your small businesses!

I didn't want to share my rating of the WayMark Lite 50 until I actually had it on my back for awhile. To start it was love at first sight when I opened the WayMark box and removed the pack, the feel the color combination, the folded out lenght of the pack collar. When I received the pack, due to recent surgery I couldn't load it up and throw it on my back for another five weeks, it was killing me not to carry the Lite 50. Finally I could load it (about 25lbs) and carried it on the North Country Trail, carries on my hips perfectly. I found if I backed off a bit on the load lifters the shoulder strapes felt a better fit. With the pack I ordered two hip belt pockets; after using the pack I readjusted the pockets more forward for better access but found it very hard to open the pockets with just one hand...no big deal. What I really like is the larger side pocket, makes easy carry of the camp chair. Additionally I like the optional top right side pocket to carry my lunch for the day without having to open the body of my pack. This WayMark Lite 50 is a well thought out design with handy options that can be added for better carry. Good job....GREAT PACK!!

Just took my Lite on a 4 day section hike on the AT in the smoky mountains. It may be a bit larger than I need but I was attracted by the deep side pocket. I have the large Grayl water filter and it tends to fall out of the average side pocket. It worked flawlessly and held my Grayl as well as my spreader bars for my hammock which are additionally secured by the adjustable strap. Perfect! I accidentally ordered the additional upper side pocket. Guess what, I used it. The quality and materials are outstanding. I love this fabric. It is lightweight but feels bombproof. Much more so than dyneema. A fair review wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t point out my dislikes. I would love to see one small pocket inside for car keys, ID, that sort of thing for items you won’t access during the hike but need to be secured. Even a ring or clip inside to attach keys or a wallet would be great. Next, I’m not crazy about the heavy duty mesh option. I didn’t realize it doesn’t really stretch. I think I would prefer the other available mesh. Not Waymarks fault really. I chose that option. Good of them to offer a choice. Lastly, I REALLY wish the hip belt pocket was a little bit further forward. My 57 year old shoulders have trouble reaching the zipper when it is all the way back. I do love the pocket though. It is bigger than most and has dual water resistant zippers. These are minor complaints of a phenomenal pack. Well done Waymark.

Got the ocean blue framed Lite a couple weeks ago. I haven’t put it through hardly anything YET, so my review is really only a preliminary projection of what I think it holds for me in the future. First of all, the craftsmanship and quality seem to be top notch. I’ve loaded it with around 20 lbs. and walked a fairly rigorous terrain for about 5 miles. I hardly even knew it was on my back. I got it with the extra pocket on the upper right side, and I absolutely love it.
Great place to stow many small things such as your water filter, snacks, poop kit, or whatever you choose. Unsure of how much diversification of storing items I really want, I also got 2 hip belt pockets and 2 shoulder strap pockets. Really think I’m gonna love it.

I wanted to give this pack a 5 stars because of the quality of workmanship and material. It is truly a quality backpack. The only issue I really have with the pack is the zipper on the belt pouch. I can’t open it or close it with one hand. I don’t know if it needs to be broke in or if zipper lubricant would help. This sounds nick picking but on trail it would be really frustrating. I have some unrelated issues too.
The rest was my fault and was not a consideration in rating this pack. I have not been able to use my pack since I received it. I have loaded it a couple of times and have spent about an hour and a half walking around the inside of my house with a fully loaded pack. The first time I didn’t have the time to fine tune it. The second time is when I realized that I might have purchased the wrong size. I adjusted it every way possible. I am not a newbie and I know how I like for my pack to feel. I know the website says to size down but I didn’t think I would need to with an 18” torso length. Bottom line is I can almost get a comfortable fit. So double check your fit, what the website says and contact WayMark if you remotely think sizing may be an issue. Would I purchase another backpack from WayMark? You bet. I already have the Mile and a Fanny pack. I absolutely love them both.

I like how light it is! super good quality, every detail is thought of, the perfect travel companion!

Took my new pack out for a spin just this morning. Had it loaded right at 20lbs. Except for the fact that I’m only moderately in shape, I didn’t even know I was carrying a pack. It really performed well, and I can’t wait to get out on the trail for multiple days. Planning for Land Between the Lakes this Fall, and a section of the Appalachian Trail after that.

I have not had a chance to use the pack yet but build quality looks superb. I have been backpacking for 45 years with many styles and brands of packs. I look forward to trying lighter gear.

Very impressed with the craftsmanship of this pack. I originally purchased it for a pct hike in the future. For now it will be my go to pack for multi day trips. Oh and did I mention the craftsmanship is impressive with the waymark lite 50l framed

I was finally able to take my new Waymark pack out this week. It is the bomb! It fit me perfectly and held my gear and a a bear box. Because of the light weight of this pack it helped me achieve my goal of under 25 pounds for the trip. It felt comfortable even after hiking in deep sand and football sized rocks for miles. One of my best backpacking purchases ever! Thanks

I just got this pack last week and have only gotten to take it up one night on Mt San Jacinto. Super comfortable and I loved that I got the additional small side pocket on top - great place to stash a poop kit and water filter. I am doubting if I needed a pack this big and wondering if I should have gotten the thru instead. There was so much extra space inside - even with me taking all my winter clothes.
I was cautious buying because I didn’t see many reviews from other females. But I’m glad I bought it. The hip belt is soft and rides comfortably.
I should have a better review of this pack after I do the Tahoe Rim Trail this summer.

I freaking love this pack! I’ve put in several miles, and this pack does not disappoint. I love that this pack is light weight and all my important gears fit well including the front mesh and the two side pockets. I’ve hiked this pack in the dessert, snow, and forest and it does the job. I am planning to put this pack to a thru hike such as the PCT and/or other long distance trails.

Looks just the thing. Not hiked with it yet... But, packed in up, Hubba Hubba fly, poles and footprint in the big side pocked, two 1 L smart water bottles in the other, ditty bag in the upper pocket (add on), camp shoes, gloves, hat and rain kit in the mesh back pocket, everything else stuffed within the water resistant bag, small bear canister on top. Looks like I have room for my fly rod - good. After a trial hike in the Bob Marshall Wilderness am heading to Alaska, somewhere.

Love my new backpack- exactly what I expected!

I had been using a Deuter 65L (6lb) and then an Osprey 65L pack. The Deuter was not comfortable and did not fit. The Osprey does fit, but weighs well over 3.5lb. I have gotten my base weight down to 14-15lbs, so I was ready to try a lighter pack. I decided on the Waymark Lite 50 after seeing some Youtube reviews about it, from hikers like me: weekend backpackers, older hikers, and people who were transitioning to a lighter weight set of gear. It sounded perfect, and it is! I have loaded it up with all my gear, including some food and water, just to see how a full load will carry. It is so comfortable! I was used to being bruised and raw on both my collar bones and my hip bones. I don't believe this pack will cause either issue. I'm 5'10" and very thin at 125lbs, and I got a Small/Medium size Lite50 with an XS hip belt. This is perfect for me. I was worried initially about the XS hip belt, but it is actually plenty big for me (my hips are 36"; my waist is 26"). I am SO excited to go on my first hike with this pack!
Notes on photos: I took one photo with the pack loaded with most of my gear, and another to show how the Tarptent Notch Li fits, where I have set it ON TOP of my Toaks 750ml pot/cook kit. With the large side pocket and the compressioin strap, this works perfectly. I didn't want the extra weight of another side pocket on the other side (it comes with one, but you can order a second, upper one, where a cook kit could also fit), and this set up works great for me. This means I have fewer odd-shaped items in the interior, which is great.
Waymark got this pack to me within 4 weeks (though their lead time is supposed to be 8 weeks), so it was quite fast. They were extremely helpful with getting me to wear it correctly, when I first tried it out too. I am impressed with their fast, efficient, and helpful support. I recommend this pack and this company strongly!

This pack is really great! I've been training with it and it fits like a glove. This pack makes the weight feel less than it is.

love the pack. couldn't be happier

I've been carry the Lite for a few months now and it's easily the most comfortable pack I've carried. The sewn in, full length foam in the back adds stability and keeps gear from poking me in the back. The massive mesh front pocket holds all your the gear you need quick access to. (Toiletries, rain jacket, extra layers etc) . The hip belt pocket is huge and functional. I really dig the simplicity of the design. It's like have a fanny pack on your hip. If you're someone who has traditionally carried off the rack big box brand packs and are looking to transition to a higher quality, cottage brand, this is a great pack to start with!
