Was looking for a UL bag to add to my options, intent was for 1-3 day trips. As mentioned in description and other reviews , this bag is best for those who have their kit dialed in, and know their base weight ranges, so it was a great option for me.
I packed similar to other frameless packs I have had , with basic premise being folded pad against back then loose sleeping bag , I put cook system pushed down into center of sleeping bag , away from back, then everything else on top. Ditty bag, filtration bag, headlamp, hat, and stake bag in outside pocket.
The punch to form factor is real haha, the shape was never really bulky , I did punch/compress a few parts of the bag for uniformity. I also hold the straps and pull against back a few times when initially wearing to let it straighten out / body form more.
I just took this bag on a 3 day backcountry trip , 6 miles in to camping area. The lightness of the bag and how it carries is immediately noticeable. I didn’t have any sway issue , great balance and the load lift straps allowed me to tighten just for peace of mind when I had to scramble over some rocky terrain.
Accessing side pockets when wearing was easy and natural , if you are used to reaching for a water bottle without stopping, there won’t be an issue. The bottom pocket was new for me, but once I used it a few times and found reference point when reaching while moving it was easy and natural.
The side pockets held a trekking pole and 1L bottle no issues.
The back stretch pocket holds well and is easy to maneuver items to lay as flat as possible.
The straps are comfortable , for the recent trip total pack weight was 12 lbs, I had zero issues. Sternum strap was comfortable and easy to adjust.
*The only thing I would change so far would be to have an internal zippered pocket for keys and wallet.
This is something I wish could be selected as an add on option when ordering , much like the bottom pocket.

Love this pack. Had the Original version, but needed a little extra room for cold weather loadouts. Definitely an up grade. More durable material and the new mesh is just dope. Just wish they’d give the option to choose a Single Strap or the Y Strap instead of mandatory Y Strap. But not a deal breaker. Do like the Bottom Pocket as well. Absolutely Love!

So far so good . Very light!!

I originally bought the 35L and thought I could make it work, but I just couldn't get the right fit. I'm definitely not tall, just under 5'8'', with a torso of about 17 to 18 inches. I ended up ordering the 38L and am so glad I did. It fits perfectly, has the benefit of longer shoulder straps for better wrap over the upper body, and the little bit of extra volume is great too. I like the few changes in materials from the 35L and it loads up great with my dialed-in ultralight kit. This will be my new 3-5 day pack for summer for sure. My wife gets the unused 35L that fits her perfectly!

I simply love this backpack. I switched from another UL backpack to this one and I simply love it.

I bought my 38L Waymark EVLB in July and received it much earlier than estimated lead time. Haven’t had a chance yet to hit the trail with it—I live in Texas and it’s currently too hot to do much of anything, waiting for weather to break—but I did pack it & test it on short daily dog walk. Kept weight under 10 lbs and it felt great. Currently using hip belt. My only complaint is that it’s pretty hard to return water bottle to side pocket after use without removing pack. Otherwise killer. Can’t wait til wilderness my trip in Oct.

I haven't used it on a trek yet, but I like the size and the comfort of carrying it on my back.
Then the make is very good.
I am looking forward to trekking in the fall.

By far my favorite pack I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried dozens of brands/styles including similar ultralight packs). There’s only 2 things I’d change:
1) PLEASE make the top strap just a few inches longer. I swear I’m going to pop a stitch by how much I have to wrestle with strapping on a bear can.
2) Consider adding an option for an external zipper pocket like on the MILE. Would be great to have somewhere secure and easy access for keys/wallet. :)

Awesome bag. So light. Very practical. Lots of added features that you can manipulate and work to your advantage. Worked great on a tough Appalachian 5day hike. Only tough part was the sternum strap is not adjustable up or down :-/ so for petite woman it doesn’t do so well over the chest.

The EVLV 38 backpack is built with great craftsmanship and carries everything I need perfectly. The only negative I have is, I’m local and just down the road from your shop and I was in contact with Devin Ashby about picking up my products vs shipping it to avoid shipping charges. Devin assured me that wouldn’t be an issue and they will refund me the shipping costs when I picked up my pack. Unfortunately this never happened and my pack still shipped via UPS. A little more due diligence on Devin’s part would’ve gone a long way for complete satisfaction of the purchasing experience.

I had surgery to remove my colon and have now have a permanent ostomy. My ostomy is located where the hip belt goes on standard backpacking packs, and I can’t have that much weight and pressure on my stoma. I couldn’t use my old backpack anymore, and I was struggling to find an option that would let me get back in the wilderness, as almost all backpacking packs are designed with hip belts. I’m so excited I found this pack which works perfectly and gives me the opportunity to do the thing I love most. Thank you!!!

Bought it to downsize from my Lite 50L and this definitely fit the bill! felt so comfortable I have a similar pack from another brand and the load lifters and straps are game changers from the other one. Add in direct plug in of my fanny pack to make it even better! My go too pack. I love this thing!

Pack is well built, light, and comfortable. Hopefully the padded hip belt becomes available again. The only critiques I would have is
1. No place to put hydration bladder
2. No clear way to strap snow shoes to pack
Other than that it is great

Went backpacking in Saguaro National Park. We had to carry a ton of extra water and the pack handled the extra weight like it was nothing. Very impressed all around!!!

Love the backpack! I am so so so excited to take it on my next thru hikes. It weighs a ton less than what I expected and the shoulder load straps make a hell of a difference when I am carrying extra food and rain gear. I was a little bummed to see that they released the updated version just days after I received my pack…. but oh well it is still a great bag with everything I need. (I do wish i had the Y strap for a bear can though since I will be hiking the PCT with this bag). Also, I needed the hip belt for this bag (which was not in stock at the time) so I asked Waymark when they would have one available. They immediately responded and told me they would have one made for me by the end of the week I ordered it. What amazing customer support and service these guys have. This backpack gets comfier and comfier every day I wear it. Thank you, Waymark!

I planned on purchasing the EVLV for awhile and was able to get it on a 20% off sale…so even better! I haven’t been able to use it yet, but loaded up with my anticipated base kit the pack weight was just under 10 pounds and felt great. I outfitted the pack with two bottle pouches, padded belt and belt pouches. All of it is very well made.

Extremely light
The side straps that hold my items on the side pockets are great.
It feel very comfortable with Alot of weight.
My only concern is too think and it may get rip on branch or bushes.

My Waymark gear backpacks have gotten me through the PCT, CDT, CCT, and many more. I have been using these backpacks since the 1st generation iteration came out and they have been nothing but amazing. The EVLV is no different. Comfy, lightweight, and perfect for any thru hike, or weekend backpacking trip.

I packed a 5 day trip on Isle Royale, Michigan. I love the pack, perfect for me. I have the original 35L. I am 6’ 3”, shorter torso. I packed a zpack tent, enlightened quilt, air mattress, small stove, food, etc. My base weight was about 10 lbs, full about 19 lbs. I also have the optional padded hip belt, hip pockets and shoulder pockets. Excellent package, highly recommended

The quality of this pack is amazing. Flawless workmanship!

After doing tons of research on UL packs I decided on the Evlv ultra. This pack is awesome! Super comfortable, the perfect amount of features and space, and the ultra material is bomb proof. Definitely my go to pack for my upcoming adventures. I also added a stretchy shoulder pocket to complete the setup. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Took this into the Dolly Sods Wilderness WV for a weekend. I’m still working on getting comfortable with lighter base weights / less items. Haven’t done a trip without a hip belt in maybe ever and I loved the feeling. But everything rode fine on my shoulders. The Zpacks DupleXL doesn’t fit horizontal to well, the riser rods are too long for the pack. I also really like the smaller dimensions on the straps and buckles. Look forward to more trips in the future.

Rock solid pack. Easy to carry even with 15-20 lbs. Love it!

The Ultra 38L EVLV is everything I dreamed it would be! Ultra lightweight and durable Ultra fabric combined with a simple, minimal design, and Waymark’s excellent craftsmanship and customer service. Combined with the shoulder pouch and removable hip belt, it can comfortably a little more weight.

Love this pack! I got the 38L, with hip belt and side pockets, as well as water bottle pouches. Fits well, Carry’s well, everything fits! No complaints.
Jeffery G.
First off let me start by saying that I’m 6’2”…..I ordered the 35L version and it fit but rode very high. After making the decision to order the 38L in ultra fabric I have to say that the fit is perfect and rides way better. I have recently switched from a dyneema framed pack and I absolutely love it. The build quality and the attention to detail in the stitching definitely shows and is much better than the other cottage packs i have. Overall I’m super impressed as well with the ultra fabric. Way to go waymark thanks for the awesome product and superior customer service
Greg G.
This rides amazingly well! The ultra fabric is surprisingly hot which led to a very sweaty back, however it makes up for it in comfort and ride. I expected it to be too short since it rides a little higher than I expected but the load straps adjust the pack to the point the pack rides like it’s not there!

Great pack. Much better than expectations going into the purchase. The Ultra200/400 fabric is incredibly tough and so lightweight. Definitely the future of backpacks.
Stitching is incredibly precise and no lose threads or wonky lines. Clearly made by people who care. Mine arrived without bungees for trekking poles / ice axe but the team got a pair shipped to me within days. Think I'm Waymark for life. Will be adding the fanny pack, in Ultra, and the Mile to my collection soon.

The Ultra 200 & 400 material is bombproof! This 35L minimalist pack checks all the boxes I need for a 3-5 day ultralight but still full comfort. Stitching and attention to detail on this pack is spot on. I've had a chance to put this Ultra material to the test and I gotta say.....wow! Ultra puts everything else in this weight category to shame. Waymark Gear did their homework with this one. A+ Review coming in the next few days on my channel... YouTube @Miyagi on the Trail.
